Garador
Originally formed as part of Westland’s Engineers Ltd in 1948, as part of a diversification strategy away from military products, Garador Limited was setup to manufacture one piece garage doors. Soon after Westland’s Engineers Limited purchased a license from Canada to manufacture one piece Up and Over garage doors and became the only manufacturer of such doors in the UK through the 1950s. A purpose built garage door manufacturing facility was constructed in Yeovil in 1958 and the first Garador branded garage door was manufactured in Yeovil that same year.
Today, Garador is one of the UK’s largest manufacturer’s of Up and Over, Side-hinged, Sectional and GaraRoll roller garage doors. All these products are made within our own group, ensuring product quality can be maintained at all times. With a focus on continual investment in both production technology and product development, Garador is at the forefront of modern garage door manufacturing. Over the last 15 years we have invested over £14 million in production technology and now have one of the most modern garage door manufacturing facilities in Europe. As a result, we have been able to produce a range of high quality, reliable products at affordable prices.
All Garador products are produced with your safety and security in mind and are therefore certified and approved by independent established institutes to ensure they are safe. All doors are manufactured to ensure they comply with European Safety standard BS EN 13241.
Through excellent engineering and uncompromising quality assurance, we produce garage doors that are unsurpassed in the industry. You will therefore receive a 10 year limited warranty on all Up and Over, Sectional and GaraRoll roller doors and a 5 year limited warranty on all GaraMatic operators.
Hormman
Since its foundation in 1935, Hörmann has produced and delivered more than 20 million doors worldwide. Over 6000 employees work in 40 specialised factories in Europe, North America and Asia to develop and produce high-quality doors, frames and operators, as well as perimeter protection and storage space systems, for use in private and commercial properties. The headquarters of the globally active Hörmann Group is the East-Westphalian municipality of Steinhagen, near Bielefeld, Germany. This family business, now run by the third and fourth generation, recently recorded an annual turnover of more than 1 billion euros.
Teckentrup
Teckentrup UK Limited, manufacturing and operating in Warrington in Cheshire, is part of the Teckentrup family of companies. Incorporated over 80 years ago, Teckentrup is a family business and one of the largest door producers in Europe, employing 950 people and, from its German base, operates from 1.1m sqft of manufacturing space on two sites.
